Starting to get caught up... Here is the video from our trip from Port Angeles to Victoria... Port Angeles to Victoria
Here is a video from La Push which is a small harbor where fishing is the main industry... La Push
Today (Sat.) we left Forks around 9:00 AM and headed for the HOH Rain Forest in the Olympic National Park. We spent some time walking several different trails. We didn't do the 18-mile hike though.
Did you know that the pines grow to over 220 feet here? Most of the trees are also loaded with moss which is very thick. When a tree falls, it is left on the ground as it will become a place for new seedlings to germinate and new trees to grow. On the video you will see several shot where the trees have grown on top of another tree. Here is a video of the part of the rain forest... HOH Rain Forest
We made lunch and then headed for Ruby Beach where we watched the tide come in. We also watched several fishermen catch Perch... not like the Great Lakes Perch though. Click here to see this video... Ruby Beach Video
We stopped for the night at the Dunes RV Park which according to the advertisement has an "ocean view". Well if you walk several hundred yards, you can see the ocean but you can't get there as there is a creek in between and no bridge. Oh well, the price was right!
Take care and keep your loops open until next time.
