A couple of days have passed since I last updated my Tally.  It was a couple of fun-filled days with some old friends and new friends.

Sunday we left the Dunes RV Park and went to St Jerome in Ocean Shores.  Unfortunately this was not the  best church we have been too but at least we went.

After church we had a long drive ahead of us... about 1.5 hours to Ann and Chuck Cary's house.  This the home of Genie's brother.  Genie and Chuck (her husband), from Texas, were there to participate in their 50 year class reunion.  Genie & Arda rode together across the US.  Genie's directions were impeccable as we arrived without incident... such as getting lost.  :-)

After talking for a while, we went for a walk on the beach.  Unfortunately the tide was coming in so we had to walk on the banks.  This area is contunously eroding away and in the past 10 years, about 1 mile of land is now covered with ocean.  Ann and Chuck expect in another 10 years, their house will be in or at a minimum, a beach front home.

We ate like kings and queens with seafood being the main fare... salmon (smoked, fresh baked, & pickled).  Appetisers consisted of crab and shrimp... Ann is a great cook!

On Monday we went "down the road" a ways (about a mile) where Chuck showed us a forest road that he walks all the time.  Arda, Chuck and Chuck went all the way to the top while Genie and  I turned back about half way up.  We sat beside the ocean and watched several  commercial fisherman catch whatever they were  catching.  We also visited an Indian Lodge, a local marina and a fish canning factory where we bought more crab, shrimp, and salmon... absolutely delicious.  That evening we played Mexican Train and had many, many laughs.

Tueday was left after breakfast as we had another long drive ahead of us... it is about 10 miles as the crow flies but it took 2 hours on a winding, up/down road which is not really fun to drive as it is very hard to look around.  We are staying in an RV Park in downtown Long Beach WA where we will do some site seeing over the next few days.

One thing that absolutely befuddles me is that there appears to be a stop sign, light, or sharp curve at the bottom of a long hill.  This happens all across the US.

Here are some pictures from the past few days...  Ann, Genie, Chuck & Chuck

Keep your loops open.
