Trivial question: Do you know the name of a singer whose songs reached the top of the song charts for over 20 years... after his death?

As we drove across the rest of ND and into Montana, wheat harvesting was in full production. It appears that the "harvest crews" that travel from the south to the north each year are in the fields in full force. The wheat in Alberta does not appear to be ready for harvest yet. It is hard to believe that there are still hungry people in this world when one sees mile after mile of wheat.

We also collected a "ton" of bugs on windshield, the front of the truck, and of course the front of the trailer. These bugs were not small and were very "juicy" - not a pretty site.

As usual, there are lots of trains that run along side of Highway 2. The longest train we saw today was 113 freight cars plus 3 engines... 2 pulling and 1 pushing.

We spent last night (8/21) in Havre MT.  It was a little different than most trailer parks as everyone parked on either side of a median where we were between the highway and the railroad switching yards.  The good news is that it was hot enough to have the A/C on and the winds closed we didn't hear anything from outside.
The temps during the day reached 97 on the truck thermostat so who knows how hot it was without the wind.

We had an uneventful trip today as we travelled from the US into Canada.  Tonight we are staying in a campground in a small town, Chestermere, just east of Calgary.  The temperature today has gone from 92 down to 57 degrees at one point... quite a change in a few hundred miles.

Trivia answer:  Jim Reeves.  After his death, his wife continued to release recordings that he made as demo's, unreleased songs, and older songs that required the instrumental backgrounds to be reworked.

Tomorrow, onto Rocky Mountain House to spend a few days with my brother and Vicki so keep your loops open until next time.
