Another day, more travelling. Unfortunately, the Icicle Road RV Park did not have space for us tonight so we moved on. Maybe I should re-phrase that, we couldn't keep the same site so we decided that if we had to hook-up, we might as well go down the road apiece... so we did!

As we drove through the Cascade Mountains, we started out in bright sunshine but it quickly turned to rain and then we were in the clouds at 3600'. It is kinda eerie to be driving in the clouds with low visibility with mountain gorges on one side and huge cliffs on the other. Bet it is beautiful when it is clear.

Arda is feeling much better today. In fact, I think she is a real witch today as I was driving down the road looking for a place to stay tonight and I turned into a Casino - hee, hee, hee.  She made her usual contribution to the local Indians and we have a "free" nights stay - ya, ya.

We did see some beautiful scenery on the way here. We went through Seattle and Tacoma and for a Sunday afternoon, the traffic was terrible. I am really glad we travel this way on a work day. In Tacoma we watched a couple of people play bumper cars. One car stopped on the highway as they had not gotten into
the correct lane and another one hit them. The first car sped up and stopped on the side of the road. The other car sped up but moved into the passing lane and took off!

If you ever travel this way and have an opportunity to take Highway 5 South out of Seattle, DON'T do it. This road makes Michigan roads look smooth as silk super-highways. It was so bad at one point I was looking to a place to pull over to see if I had a flat tire on truck or the trailer or both. Thankfully it only last several miles.

We headed for Port Angeles where we will stay a couple of days so we can go to Vancouver Island, pick up mail, do laundry, and a little site-seeing.  It was actually a long day... 22 miles.  :-)

Here are a few pictures from the past couple of days...  Washington State Photos

Best to all and keep you loops open until the next time.
